For our recent collaboration with Virgin Hotels New York City, Studio Khonsu set out to capture the bold personality and elevated charm of this dynamic new property in the heart of Manhattan. Using only natural light, we photographed across multiple times of day to highlight the way sunlight floods through the hotel’s floor-to-ceiling windows, casting a soft glow across the vibrant interiors. From the electric red elevator in the lobby to the rooftop pool overlooking the Empire State Building, our visual approach was designed to feel organic, effortless, and deeply atmospheric—placing the viewer right in the scene.
Our focus was not only on architectural beauty, but also on the lived experience of staying at Virgin Hotels NYC. We crafted visual moments that felt intimate yet iconic, capturing quiet reflections in plush King Chambers, the buzz of social energy at Commons Club, and the cinematic sweep of Lower Manhattan at golden hour. The result was a visual narrative that brought together luxury, attitude, and authenticity—positioning the hotel as a fresh and stylish escape for modern travellers seeking connection, culture, and comfort in the city that never sleeps.
